Gigi & Bella Hadid Reveal 'Unexpected And Beautiful Addition' To Family

Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid are introducing their new secret sister to the world.

In a statement shared to the Daily Mail on Thursday (May 29), Gigi, 30, and Bella, 28, revealed they have a 23-year-old half-sister named Aydan Nix. The three women share the same father, Mohamed Hadid, but while the supermodel sisters' mother is Yolanda Hadid, Nix's mother is Terri Hatfield Dull, who reportedly had a "brief romance" with Mohamed that ended before she learned she was pregnant, per People.

The statement noted that Nix worn born and raised in Florida and was raised by a man "she lovingly knew as her father" before he suddenly passed away when she was 19. Out of "curiosity," she took a genetic test that brought to light her "biological connection" to the Hadids.

Gigi and Bella said that since they first connected with their half-sister in 2023, they have "embraced Aydan with open arms."

"She's spent time with all of us, including our dad, and we've cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family," they said. "As siblings, we've had many open and loving conversations — with Aydan included — about how to support and protect her."

One way they are supporting their sister is asking for the public to respect her privacy as she continues to live her life.

"Aydan and her family value their privacy, and we fully respect that," they said. "We kindly ask others to do the same and honor her wish and right to anonymity as she continues to live her life as a young woman in New York."

Nix is Mohamed's sixth child. In addition to Gigi and Bella, he shares 25-year-old son Anwar with ex-wife Yolanda as well as daughters Marielle, 44, and Alana, 41, with his first wife Mary Butler.
