Eddie Murphy Shares Son’s Secret Wedding to Martin Lawrence’s Daughter

Two comedy legends are now proud in-laws. Eddie Murphy recently told Jennifer Hudson that his oldest son, Eric, quietly married Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmine, in a private ceremony. Instead of a huge Hollywood event, the couple chose an intimate setting with only the two of them present.

Eddie explained that both families had started planning a big wedding, but Eric and Jasmine decided a simple ceremony felt more personal. “They went off and did their own thing,” he said, smiling. Eddie then poked fun at Martin, joking that his longtime friend got “lucky” because he did not have to pay for a lavish celebration.

Eric Murphy, 35, is the eldest of Eddie’s ten children. Jasmine Lawrence, 29, is one of Martin’s three daughters. The pair first shared photos together on social media in 2021, and fans loved seeing the two famous families come together.

Both dads have worked side by side in films like Boomerang and Life, so the idea of their children falling in love almost feels like a movie plot.
