Taylor Swift is celebrating owning the original masters to all of her "life's work" by recreating a viral video with friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff.

Hours after Swift revealed she had purchased the original masters for her first six albums and now officially owns her "entire life's work," she and Antonoff celebrated the occasion by recreating a moment of magic from the making of her 2017 album Reputation, per People. The famous friends previously shared a video years ago of them writing "Getaway Car" together, excitedly coming up with lyrics on the spot to a track that has since become beloved by fans.

Swift seemingly was feeling nostalgic and ecstatic after buying back the masters for the fan-favorite album and decided to recreate the viral collaboration with her producer pal. On Friday (May 30), Antonoff shared a video to X (formerly Twitter) of them listening to the song, Swift holding her cat Meredith while miming the lyrics before she set Meredith down and belted out the final line and the pair screamed in excitement.

"rep forever guilt free listening!" the Bleachers musician captioned the clip.

On Friday, the "Fortnight" singer shared a lengthy personal note on her website announcing that she had purchased the masters to her earlier albums from Shamrock Capital and had been "bursting into tears of joy" realizing that her dream has finally come to fruition.

"The memories. The magic. The madness. Every single era. My entire life's work," she said. "To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it."

Swift also explained what this means for the final two records she had left on her journey of re-recording her older albums, specifically the highly-anticipated Reputation (Taylor's Version). She previously re-recorded Fearless, Speak Now, Red and 1989 and only had Rep and her self-titled debut album remaining.

"Full transparency: I haven't even re-recorded a quarter of [Rep TV]. The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it," she said. "All that defiance, that longing to be understood while feeling purposely misunderstood, that desperate hope, that shame-born snarl and mischief."

She continued, "To be perfectly honest, it's the one album in those first 6 that I thought couldn't be improved upon by redoing it. Not the music, or photos, or videos. So I kept putting it off. There will be a time (if you're into the idea) for the unreleased Vault tracks from that album to hatch."
