Lil Wayne Announces 'Tha Carter VI Tour' With Special Guests Tyga & More

Lil Wayne is bringing his new album and other classic hits to fans nationwide during his upcoming tour.
On Tuesday, June 3, the veteran rapper announced the dates for "Tha Carter VI Tour" presented by Young Money, Live Nation, and Rolling Loud. The tour will kick off at Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 6, which is the same day Tha Carter VI arrives on streaming platforms. From there, Weezy will bring special guests Tyga, NoCap and Belly Gang Kushington with him to various cities around the U.S. and Canada. He plans to close out the tour in West Palm Beach on October 2.

Lil Wayne plans to perform songs from his 14th solo album, along with other timeless hits from Tha Carter series. The tour comes in support of Tha Carter VI. The album is expected to feature rare collaborations with artists Weezy has never worked with before. According to Rolling Stone, Wayne teamed up with MGK, Elephant Man, Miley Cyrus, Andrea Bochelli, Bono of U2, his son Kameron, along with producers Ye, Wheezy and DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia. Wyclef Jean also appears on the LP and told RS that he and Weezy worked with a group of top-notch musicians for their collaboration, including New Orleans' own Jon Batiste, Ledisi, Trombone Shorty, and PJ Morton.
