A 3.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in Nevada on Monday (June 9), according to the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake was centered near Rachel at a depth of 4.3 kilometers (about 2.8 miles). The USGS said it received one report of a person having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.
The Nevada earthquake was reported hours after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake was reported in Colombia on Sunday (June 8), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Paratebueno at a depth of 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles).
The Colombian earthquake was reported two days after a 6.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in Chile on Friday (June 6), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Diego de Almagro at a depth of 76.6 kilometers (about 48 miles).
The Chile earthquake was reported two days after a 4.0-magnitude earthquake was reported in Idaho on Wednesday (June 4), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Stanley at a depth of 13.8 kilometers (about 8.6 miles).
The Idaho earthquake was reported hours after a 4.9-magnitude earthquake was reported in Alaska on Tuesday (June 3), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Adak at a depth of 16.7 kilometers (about 10.4 miles).
The Alaska earthquake was reported hours after a 5.8-magnitude earthquake was reported in Turkey last Monday (June 2), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near İçmeler at a depth of 74 kilometers (about 46 miles).
