South Carolina Destination Among The 'Best Summer Vacation Spots' For 2025

Summer is nearly here, a season of sunny days, warm breezes and long-awaited breaks from school, work and everyday life. If you are still figuring out where you would want to go for a weekend getaway or lengthy vacation, you can take a cue from a report that lists one South Carolina destination among the best places for a summer vacay.

AAA compiled a list of some of the "best summer vacation spots" for 2025, the destinations that would serve as the perfect getaway with family, friends or even for solo travel. Among the list is one spot in South Carolina: Hilton Head Island.

According to the site, Hilton Head is one of the best places in the country to visit for a memorable summer escape. Some suggested activities to partake in during your visit include a Jet Ski Adventure or Dolphin Boat Cruise or stopping in to the Coastal Discovery Museum.

Here's what AAA had to say about this popular travel destination:

"Situated off the coast of South Carolina, Hilton Head Island boasts 12 miles of white sand beach. Here, you can ride bikes along the shoreline or look for seashells in the sand. Make sure to spend a day on the water kayaking, fishing or going for a sunset cruise. The island is also known for its world-class golf courses. Most notably, Harbour Town Golf Links is a PGA TOUR course recognized by its iconic red and white striped lighthouse."
