JetBlue Plane Rolls Onto Grass At Boston's Logan Airport

A JetBlue flight arriving from Chicago O'Hare International Airport rolled into a grass area off the runway after landing at Boston Logan International Airport on Thursday (June 12). Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the passengers or crew, according to the Massachusetts Port Authority. Passengers exited the Airbus A220 using stairs and were transported to the terminal by bus.
“All crew and customers are safe,” Tyesha Best, president of Transport Workers Union of America Local 579 said in a statement to CNN. “We remain in contact with the company to provide all needed support for those affected.”
The union represents JetBlue’s flight attendants.
The runway where the incident occurred has been temporarily closed for assessment of the aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced that it will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
JetBlue Flight 312's unexpected detour into the grass did not result in any reported injuries, and all passengers were safely transported to the terminal. The incident remains under investigation by the FAA to determine the cause and ensure future safety.
