Nationwide Protests Grow Over Trump’s Immigration Crackdown

June 12, 2025

Protests are happening all over the country as people speak out against President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. According to CNN and ABC News, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is rushing to meet strict arrest quotas pushed by the White House. This pressure has sparked outrage in many communities and led to large demonstrations.

In Los Angeles, things have gotten tense. Mayor Karen Bass announced an 8 PM curfew after some protests turned into looting. She urged people to stay safe and peaceful, but many are still filling the streets to make their voices heard.

President Trump and members of his administration have responded with tough talk. They warned that the military could be used to deal with protests, not just in L.A., but across the country. Officials even said protesters could be met with “equal or greater force.”

Trump also made strong comments about future protests in Washington, D.C. He said that anyone who shows up during the Army’s 250th birthday parade could be met with “very big force.”
