Drake got a response from Jagmeet Singh after he called out the Canadian politician for attending Kendrick Lamar and SZA's tour stop in Toronto.

On Saturday, June 14, the OVO Sound co-founder took to Instagram and posted a screenshot of his DM to Singh after the former New Democratic Party leader was spotted at the "Grand National Tour" inside Rogers Centre last week. In his message, Drizzy labeled the politician as a "goof" after photos of Singh in the crowd went viral on social media.

"You're a goof," Drake wrote before he reportedly unfollowed Singh.

Drake and Jagmeet Singh were digital acquaintances before he attended the show. He followed the politician on Instagram in 2019 shortly after Singh was elected as the Member of Parliament for Burnaby South in Canada. Shortly after he received Drizzy's DM, Singh issued an apology for getting caught up in the "Family Matters" rapper's beef with Kendrick Lamar.

β€œI went for SZA, not Kendrick,” Singh wrote in an Instagram Story. β€œI was born in this city. I love this city. But real talk, I get it. I shouldn’t have gone at all. OVO and Drake have lifted up this city and [Canada]. For me it’ll always be Drake over Kendrick.”

Singh's apology came days after Kendrick Lamar and SZA invaded Drake's hometown as part of their "Grand National Tour." During the show, fans in Rogers Centre erupted with cheers and sang along with Lamar as he performed "Not Like Us" for the first time in Toronto. They even demanded an encore.
