Noah Cyrus has new music on the way.
On Monday (June 16), Cyrus announced her sophomore album, I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me, which is set for release on July 11 through RECORDS/Columbia Records. The album, co-produced by Cyrus, Mike Crossey and PJ Harding, features collaborations with Fleet Foxes, Ella Langley, Blake Shelton and Bill Callahan. The lead single, "New Country," featuring Shelton, will be released on Friday (June 20). The album also includes a track titled "With You," written by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, which highlights his influence on her music, per StereoBoard.
Cyrus, 25, expressed in a press release that the album represents her personal growth and self-discovery, People reports.
"For a long time, I couldn’t really trust in my own choices. I had to learn how to make decisions for myself and make that transition into adulthood," she said. "But I’ve found who I am, I know who I am, and this record shows what I had inside me all this time. This album is me."
She also hopes the album will evoke a sense of comforting nostalgia for listeners.
"I want this album to offer fans a sense of comforting, peaceful nostalgia," she said. "We all want to connect with our past while also being aware of the present moment."
To support the album, Cyrus will embark on a North American tour, starting with a show in Los Angeles on July 11, and make stops in major cities including San Francisco, New York and Nashville before wrapping up October 24. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 20, with a presale running through Thursday.
