Woman Killed In DC By Truck Carrying Parade Tanks

Authorities in Washington, DC say a 39-year-old woman was struck and killed by a semi-truck carrying tanks from Saturday's military parade. Police say the accident happened Monday night on New York Avenue east of the White House as the tanks were being returned to a railyard in Maryland. A police investigation says the woman ran into the roadway, stumbled and fell in front of the truck. The Army says the truck driver has been cleared of criminal intent or negligence.
