Miley Cyrus Jokingly Calls Out Mom Tish Amid Rumored Family Drama

Miley Cyrus is airing out her reported family drama.

The Something Beautiful singer jokingly called out her mother Tish Cyrus while appearing on the June 19 episode of her podcast Sorry We're Cyrus, which she hosts alongside daughter and Miley's older sister Brandi Cyrus. Tish ignited rumors of a rift in May when she seemingly unfollowed her daughter on Instagram following reports that Miley had reunited with her dad Billy Ray Cyrus amid even more rumored drama, per E! News.

Tish later followed her back, admitting at the time that she had "no idea" how it had happened but that it was "fixed now," adding, "I would never unfollow Miley, her and I are as close as we've always been."

The "Flowers" hitmaker, 32, acknowledged the speculation the social media move caused, noting that the "timing was interesting," before hilariously putting her mom on blast.

"If you were in the family or not in the family, it was weird timing," she said, as Tish agreed. Miley added, "Like, I went to go see Billy Ray and you mysteriously unfollowed me Tish and then you got some backlash and then suddenly you knew how to press that follow button real quick. I'm just kidding!"

Miley then squashed rumors of a feud with her mom by sharing the "boring" real reason Tish appeared to unfollow her, blaming Meta, the company that owns Instagram.

"The truth is, which is boring, is there's a bug in Meta," she said.

Tish even recently praised Miley, as well as daughter Noah Cyrus, for their "super-healthy, amazing relationships." Miley has been linked to drummer Maxx Morando since 2021, while Noah, 25, is engaged to fashion designer Pinkus.
