A suspect has been arrested following an alleged antisemitic road rage incident involving Representative Max Miller in Rocky River, Ohio. On Thursday (June 19), the Ohio congressman, who is Jewish and a strong supporter of Israel, reported being run off the road by a man waving a Palestinian flag and shouting "death to Israel."

The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Feras Hamdan from Westlake, Ohio, turned himself in to the Rocky River Police Department. Hamdan is accused of tailgating Miller's vehicle on Interstate 90, making antisemitic slurs, and threatening Miller and his family. Miller called 911 during the incident, providing the suspect's license plate number. The suspect left the scene before police arrived, but a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Miller, a former Marine, expressed his determination not to be intimidated by such acts of violence, stating, "As a Marine, a proud Jewish American, and a staunch defender of Israel, I will not hide in the face of this blatant anti-Semitic violence." He also emphasized the importance of addressing grievances through dialogue rather than violence.

The incident is under investigation by multiple agencies, including the Rocky River Police Department, U.S. Capitol Police, Ohio State Patrol, and the FBI. U.S. Capitol Police Acting Chief Sean Gallagher highlighted the swift response, stating, "This case is a prime example of the USCP's stance towards threats against our elected officials."
