6.2 Magnitude Earthquake Reported

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake was reported in the Philippine Islands on Monday (June 23), according to the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake was centered at a depth of 5.0 kilometers (about 3.1 miles). The USGS said it received nine reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.
The Philippine Islands earthquake was reported hours after a 3.7-magnitude earthquake was reported in Nevada on Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Silver Peak at a depth of 6.1 kilometers (about 3.8 miles).
The Nevada earthquake was reported three days after a 3.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in California on Friday (June 20), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Petrolia at a depth of 16.8 kilometers (about 10.4 miles).

The California earthquake was reported two days after a 3.8-magnitude earthquake was reported in Alaska on Wednesday (June 18), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Cantwell at a depth of 87.5 kilometers (about 54 miles).
The Alaska earthquake was reported three days after a 5.6-magnitude earthquake was reported in Peru on June 15, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Callao at a depth of 53.5 kilometers (about 33 miles).
The Peru earthquake was reported four days after a 4.7-magnitude earthquake was reported in Alaska on June 11, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Adak at a depth of 27.1 kilometers (about 17 miles).
The Adak earthquake was reported one hours after a 4.1-magnitude earthquake was reported in Alaska on June 10, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered near Skwentna at a depth of 15.2 kilometers (about 9.4 miles).
