Bruce Springsteen Guitarist Stevie Van Zandt Undergoes Emergency Surgery

E Street Band member Stevie Van Zandt shared a scary story on X Monday (June 23), revealing he underwent emergency surgery after suffering from appendicitis while on tour with Bruce Springsteen.
"Got a sharp pain in my stomach, thought it was food poisoning, turned out to be appendicitis. Got lucky with an exceptional hospital in San Sebastian," the guitarist wrote in the post. "Operation was a complete success and I'm hoping to get back on stage for at least one of the shows in Milan. Thank you all for all the good vibes. See you soon."
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are currently on a European stadium tour. They performed without Van Zandt in San Sebastian, Spain on June 24. They will also play without him in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on June 27th, before heading to Milan, Italy for a pair of dates at the San Siro Stadium on June 30 and July 3.

Springsteen is gearing up to release a box set called Tracks II: The Lost Albums on June 27. The collection will comprise seven lost albums, featuring 82 songs written between 1983 and 2018. Of those, 74 have never been heard until now.
