Caitlin Clark Injured Again

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has been ruled out of Thursday's (June 26) game against the Los Angeles Sparks due to a left groin injury, head coach Stephanie White confirmed to reporters hours before tipoff.

White said Clark reported pain to the training staff Wednesday (June 25) night and underwent an MRI which confirmed her groin injury.

“I think it’s very much a day-to-day thing how she responds to treatment,” White said via Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star. “… But yeah, found out late last night and we will treat it day-to-day… C has shown that she is tough and she’s a quick healer, so we’ll see.”

Clark returned from a previous quadriceps strain after a three-week absence during the Fever's June 14 win against the New York Liberty. The former No. 1 overall pick averaged 17.6 points and 8.6 assists in five games since returning from her prior injury.

Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft and 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, averaged 19.0 points, 9.3 assists and 6.0 rebounds during the Fever's first four games of the 2025 WNBA season. Indiana is currently eighth in the Eastern Conference with a 7-7 regular season record and 4-1 record in Commissioner's Cup play.
