Demi Lovato is sharing some of her favorite recipes with fans in her brand new cookbook.
On Wednesday (June 25), the "Confident" singer took to Instagram with some "really exciting news" to announce her first-ever cookbook One Plate At A Time, coming out next spring. While sharing a video making one of her "favorite staple recipes," avocado toast with a crispy fried egg on top, Lovato opened up about the special importance of the venture in her healing journey. She has been vocal in the past about struggling with an eating disorder throughout her life, per People.
"Stepping into the kitchen and learning how to cook has been such an important part of my recovery and healing my relationship with food," she explained. "This book is filled with simple, comforting recipes that have allowed me to reconnect with myself and find both freedom and joy in my kitchen — feelings I never thought I could experience. It has allowed me to see cooking as an act of love and kindness to myself and those in my life, and I hope this book can bring that same feeling into your home too."
The "Sorry Not Sorry" hitmaker, who recently got married to husband Jutes, concluded the post with a hint about new music, teasing that she has also "been cooking outside of the kitchen too... 😉"
One Plate At A Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom with Food will feature more than 80 recipes, including Lovato's "top five" picks, for a collection of recipes for "people who struggle to enjoy food without guilt and for anyone looking for a gentler, more grounded approach to cooking," according to a press release.
The project comes amid Lovato's "revelation" of "discovering how to truly nourish herself in mind, body, and spirit" through learning how to cook. She explained that the cookbook will "emphasize enjoyment over perfection" with recipes that won't be too "overwhelming."
One Plate At A Time comes out March 31, 2026.
