Sabrina Carpenter's newest move is heavenly sent.

The 26-year-old star took to Instagram on Wednesday (June 25) to share the perfect solution for the controversy surrounding the cover for her forthcoming album Man's Best Friend: an alternate cover sure to appease naysayers as she quipped that it has been "approved by God." The original version is still available, and Carpenter has even signed some copies that fans can purchase on her website.

The new version features a glamorous black-and-white snapshot of the "Manchild" singer with her arm around a man, both in formal wear, in what People described as a possible homage to a classic photo of Marilyn Monroe. Another pic captured a wider shot of the scene, with the man facing away as Carpenter glanced off to the side.

"I signed some copies of Man's Best Friend for you guys," she wrote before poking fun at the backlash as she introduced the alternate version. "& here is a new alternate cover approved by God."

The original album cover sparked controversy shortly after Carpenter announced the project earlier this month, with some critics complaining about the art featuring the "Espresso" hitmaker on her hand and knees wearing a black mini dress as an unseen man held her hair in a fist. She previously clapped back at one commenter's critique with a simple six-word response.

Man's Best Friend drops August 29.
