A 15-year-old boy was arrested in relation to the stabbing death of Universal Store CEO Greg Josephson at his Australian mansion Thursday (June 26) night, according to a Queensland Police Department news release.

Josephson, 58, who co-founded the youth clothing company with his brother, Michael, in 1999, was hosting approximately 30 teenagers at his home in the Brisbane suburb of Clayfield before the altercation took place at around 8:15 p.m. local time, the department confirmed, though not publicly identifying the suspect. Josephson and the suspect were reported to have known each other prior to the incident in which the teenager grabbed a household item to stab the CEO.

Josephson was found critically wounded when police arrived and later pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was captured two blocks south of the mansion and questioned before being charged with murder.

The teenager is currently being held without bail and scheduled to appear in Brisbane Children's Court Friday (June 27) morning. Josephson purchased his six-bedroom, six-bathroom, three-story Clayfield enclave for $1.25 million in 2016 and it is currently estimated to be worth $3.2 million following a 2022 renovation in which the entrepreneur aimed to make it feel like a "five-star home," 7News reports.

The mansion was recently put on the market as Josephson planned to move his family to Noosa, which is located about two hours north of Clayfield.
