The time has finally come for Bruce Springsteen to unleash his seven lost albums.

The box set compilation album, Tracks II: The Lost Albums, was officially released on Friday (June 27), featuring 83 tracks from the star's treasure-filled vault, that he hopes will help listeners "fill in spaces of my work life that hadn’t been filled in before."

The Boss marked the thrilling release with an iHeartRadio ICONS special hosted by Jim Kerr, where he delved into each album and explained why he waited so long to bring these songs (dating back to 1981) to light.

"There's a lot of good music on there in different forms and shapes and genres. I'm just proud to get that music out to people. It might be stuff that they didn't know that I would do or could do, but things that they're not expecting."

The "Dancing in the Dark" legend continued, referring to the records as "unusual."

"The thing about all these records is they were a little bit unusual. Each one didn't easily fit into this particular image people might've had of me. And I think that's why, at the time, I was going, 'Oh, I'm not sure about this one or that one, or the timing isn't right. I just put this out so I don't want to put this out.' You always have a reason, and whether you're right or wrong, I don't know. It's an interesting insight into some of my adventurousness in the different types of music that I always wanted to make."
