The alternative rock band Grouplove is set to perform at the New York State Fair, delighting fans with a concert at Chevy Court on Sunday, August 24, at 6 p.m. Known for their hits like "Tongue Tied," "Colours," and "Raspberry," the Los Angeles-based group will bring their genre-bending sound to Syracuse for the first time.
Grouplove's performance is part of the fair's extensive concert lineup, which includes more than 40 national acts across two main stages. Fair Director Julie LaFave expressed excitement about the band's debut, stating, "Alternative rock and indie lovers should run – not walk – to see this iconic band perform some of the biggest hits of the genre of the last decade live, right here at the Great New York State Fair" (WSYR-TV).
The band, celebrated for their experimental approach to music, released their sixth studio album, "I Want It All Right Now (Deluxe)," in 2024. The album features collaborations with artists like Jake Clemons from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and showcases Grouplove's evolution in sound and songwriting (CNY Central).
The New York State Fair runs from August 20 through September 1, with all concerts included in the price of admission, which is $8 for adults, while children under 12 and seniors aged 65 and older enter for free (Syracuse.com).
