President Donald Trump said he'll "have to take a look" at deporting Elon Musk after the tech billionaire slammed the president's "Big Beautiful Bill."
Musk, a South African national and a naturalized U.S. citizen, appeared to reignite his feud with Trump over the weekend after he fired off a series of tweets criticizing the GOP-backed bill that's currently making its way through the Senate.
"It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!" Musk wrote Monday (June 30) on X.

Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.
Trump seemingly responded to Musk's critique on Tuesday (July 1), saying the Tesla CEO was upset that the bill would eliminate the electric vehicle (EV) mandate and that "Elon would have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa."
When asked Tuesday if he would deport Musk, Trump told reporters, "We'll have to take a look."
"We might have to put DOGE on Elon," he added.
Musk fired back at the president hinting at his deportation.
"So tempting to escalate this. So, so tempting. But I will refrain for now," the former DOGE head wrote Tuesday on X.
Musk initially faced calls to be deported last month amid his public feud with Trump.
Steve Bannon, Trump's former White House chief strategist, claimed Musk, a South African native, was "illegal" and urged the president to deport his former ally. "Elon Musk is illegal … Deport immediately," Bannon said.
The ex-White House chief strategist questioned Musk's immigration status amid his fallout with Trump, who the tech billionaire called for the president to be impeached and replaced by Vice President JD Vance. Last month, Musk also slammed Trump's "big, beautiful bill" as a "disgusting abomination."
