Mello Buckzz Speaks Out After 4 People Died At Her Album Release Party

Mello Buckzz is distraught after four people were killed during a mass shooting at her album release party.

The Chicago native was celebrating the release of her new album Hollyhood at Artis Lounge nightclub on Wednesday night, July 2. According to NBC Chicago, a dark-colored vehicle drove by the venue at around 11 p.m. and opened fire at the crowd of people standing outside the venue. Four people were fatally shot and 18 others were injured during the shooting. Mello's boyfriend and her best friend were among the deceased. She took to her Instagram Story to mourn them.

"We was having so much fun in our private little life," she wrote about her boyfriend. "couldnt leave each other alone glued to my hip everyday its not a night we aint spend together 😢 im so f**king angry u was woke i held yo hand until i couldnt u talked to me clearly ion get it boo im f**ked up"

"Dam shorty my mfn dog 🥺 my brotherrrr u n vonte was my only 2 ppl im so lost i cant believe i lost both yall in 1 night," she continued. "Prayers up for all my sisters god please wrap yo arms around every last one of them," she wrote. "We need u i need u ngl im f**ked up .. feel like everything just weighing down on me... All i can do is talk to god and pray."

"I dont wish this typa pain on nobody 💔 dam my f**king crew," she added.

The scene outside the venue following the shooting was chaotic to say the least. Blood stains covered the ground along with clothing and shoes from the victims. Multiple people were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The alleged shooter sped away immediately after the shooting. No arrests have been made yet, but detectives are still investigating.
