Miranda Lambert revealed details about a soon-to-debut duet with another powerhouse singer-songwriter, Chris Stapleton, in an announcement on Monday morning (July 7).
Lambert, the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history, joined forces with Stapleton on “A Song to Sing.” She shared a quote on her Instagram story explaining that “Chris understands the emotion of this song from the inside out, because he and Morgane [Stapleton’s wife] have both lived it. To have someone so soulful and willing to go into the heart of the feelings, to share the pull of the road and creative life — and what that means when you love someone with every bit of your being is next level. When we finished it, we both knew we wanted to release it, to share it with everyone.”
Lambert’s latest project to release is the 20th anniversary edition of her debut studio album, Kerosene. The new 13-track edition arrived in March with a never-before-heard ballad that Lambert wrote and recorded in 2005. Stapleton’s latest release is “Bad As I Used To Be,” an anthem that appears in F1, the recently-premiered motorsport drama starring Brad Pitt.
“A Song to Sing” is due to release on Friday (July 11).
