Luke Combs shared a behind-the-scenes clip on his social media accounts as he stirs anticipation for an unreleased anthem.
Combs teamed up with Jonathan Singleton and The Brothers Hunt — songwriters and God’s Country podcast hosts Dan and Reid Isbell — to write “Back in the Saddle.” The North Carolina-born country star posted his latest sneak peek of the song on Sunday (July 6). He wrote in the caption, “I really think y’all are gonna like this one.”
Combs began hinting at new music earlier this year. He said in an update to fans that he was “getting back in the saddle here. Back in the studio. I’m very excited about that.” The powerhouse singer-songwriter added in his caption that he “will be doing a headline tour next year and I am actively working on new music. There also may or may not be an Easter egg regarding new music in this video that will one day make sense.”
Combs has not announced a release date for “Back in the Saddle” as of publication time on Monday (July 7). His latest full length studio record is Fathers & Sons, a 12-track project that serves as a tribute to his life with his two young children, whom he shares with wife Nicole Combs.
