Andrew Abbott took a shutout into the 8th, Noelvi Marte and Will Benson homered, and the Reds (47-46) rediscovered their offense to snap a four game losing streak.
Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara entered the game allowing the most earned runs (67) in baseball. The Reds pounced on him for three runs in a 31 pitch 1st, and then tagged him for three more in the 4th.
The Reds will not be swept for a 30th consecutives series to begin the season. That's ties their longest streak to start a season since the 1989 team. They are the only team not swept this season.
