Dierks Bentley shared the moment he recruited reigning Academy of Country Music New Male Artist of the Year Zach Top to join him for a cold plunge before a show.

“It’s not a summer tour without a cold plunge,” Bentley wrote in his caption on Instagram, adding that Top “took it like a champ!”

Bentley and Top each sat in 28-degree water with ice, and the “She Hates Me” star said Top has “already done more than Riley GreenParker McCollum, Travis Denning was in it for about two seconds. Jordan Davis, you’ve already smoked Jordan Davis.”

“I DID 2ish MINUTES THANK YOU VERY MUCH,” Denning wrote in the comments. Davis chimed in: “I was trying to show respect to you [Dierks Bentley]…Didn’t wanna beat you at your own game.”

Top joined Bentley on “The Broken Branches Tour,” titled after the Phoenix, Arizona-born artist’s latest studio album that released last month. The 2025 tour also includes Georgia duo The Band Loula. See the remaining dates below.

“I’m 20(ish) years into doing this, and I’ve seriously never been more excited about a tour,” Bentley said in a statement when he announced the tour earlier this year. “We had Zach out for a few shows last summer, and I knew right away that we had to do more together. He loves the same kind of country music I do, and he’s got the bluegrass chops to hang with the best of ‘em in a jam. I’ve got a million ideas for the set list rolling around in my head. It’ll be fun to figure out how to make it all come to life with a new album and new production.”
