Reds win to salvage split of series vs Marlins

Nick Lodolo was dynamite over six shutout innings. The Reds offense put two runs on the board early, then broke things open with a four run 6th.  

The Reds (48-46) scrambled back to salvage a split of the four game series. It should have been better. It could have been worse.

Outscored 17-3 in dropping the first two games, the Reds outscored the Marlins 13-2 to take the next two games.

It was the Reds fifth shutout of the season.

Lodolo: 6 IN, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K, 91 pitches. Appeared bothered by his index finger (blister) early on.
