Nick Lodolo was dynamite over six shutout innings. The Reds offense put two runs on the board early, then broke things open with a four run 6th.
The Reds (48-46) scrambled back to salvage a split of the four game series. It should have been better. It could have been worse.
Outscored 17-3 in dropping the first two games, the Reds outscored the Marlins 13-2 to take the next two games.
It was the Reds fifth shutout of the season.
