All Elite Wrestling star Kris Statlander addressed the possibility of the company doing an all-women's event in the future during her appearance on the Battleground Podcast.
“I think anything is a good option," Statlander said. "More wrestling is always great, having the amount of wrestling that we do have right now is wonderful. Getting to showcase as many of the amazing talent that we have, men and women, is awesome. I am not a person who, you know, tries to lead the charge on many things. I kind of just see where things go because you never know where anything can go. Everything in life is unpredictable. I think we could all hope for all the girls that work so hard being showcased more and maybe get to something like that but, everything comes with the time, everything has its plan and you know, it is what it is.”
Statlander, who recently won Pro Wrestling Eve's International championship in London, is set to be the No. 1 entrant in the Women's Casino Gauntlet match at All In: Texas, which will air live from Globe Life Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday (July 12). WWE's parent company, TKO Group, has counter programmed several events on the same weekend of AEW's biggest annual event, which includes the return of its all-women's premium live event Evolution, a move that has been criticized by many fans.
All In: Texas will also feature AEW Women's World Champion 'Timeless Toni Storm defending her title against TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, with the winner set to defend the title against the winner of the Women's Casino Gauntlet match in the future. All:In Texas will air live on pay per view Saturday at 3:00 p.m. ET.
