Does Britney Spears have a new member of her family? That's what many fans were wondering after the Princess of Pop made an eye-catching post on social media hinting at a new adoption.

The "Toxic" singer sparked speculation over the weekend that she had adopted either a new pet or a child when she shared a new dancing video on Instagram when she wrote in the caption, "I want to let you guys know I adopted a beautiful baby girl... Her name is Lennon London Spears." According to a report from TMZ on Monday (July 14), however, it appears that is not the case.

Sources told the outlet that Spears has adopted neither a child nor a dog and was instead just joking around, as evidenced by the winking and silly emojis surrounding the comment. A baby carrier that fans have noticed in the background of some of her recent videos was also addressed by the sources, who said that it was used to transport her baby dolls.

The post also suggested Spears was leaving America for a new home in Italy, but that also is not happening, TMZ reports.

While she may have not added to her family, Spears is already a mom to two sons, 19-year-old Sean and 18-year-old Jayden, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Earlier this year, she shared a rare look at her relationship with her youngest son.
