YoCrunch Yogurts Recalled Over Potential Choking Risk From Plastic Pieces

Danone U.S. has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of its YoCrunch yogurt products due to a potential choking hazard. The recall, announced on Friday (July 11), affects all sizes and flavors of YoCrunch yogurts currently on the market. The issue stems from the possible presence of plastic pieces in the products' dome lids, which are used to hold crunchy toppings like M&Ms or Oreos.
The plastic pieces are between 7 and 25 millimeters in length and have sharp edges. The problem is reportedly isolated to the separately packaged toppers, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is working with Danone U.S. to ensure the products are removed from store shelves.
You can find a full list of recalled products from the FDA, including the lot number and expiration dates.
Consumers who have purchased any of the affected YoCrunch products are advised not to consume them and to contact the YoCrunch consumer care line at 1-877-344-4886 for further assistance.
