Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have released their new single after they premiered it in the short film inspired by their upcoming album, Alfredo 2.
On Thursday, July 17, the Indiana native and the seasoned producer dropped the link to their first-ever movie, Alfredo. In it, Freddie and Alan work together as restaurant owners in Tokyo. After the ESGN rapper returns from training with his sensei in the mountains, Freddie finds out he and his partner have been betrayed. He eventually confronts the snake and handles it appropriately. Afterward, Fred and Alc celebrate with a night of baseball and strippers.

The duo also debuted their new song "1995." The hard-hitting track appears in the end credits of the film directed by Nick Walker. It also serves as the first single from their anticipated album Alfredo 2. Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have been stealthily teasing the project by dropping a series of clues over the past several weeks. The album cover was the first piece of the puzzle that the duo revealed last month, which features chopsticks and ramen as a callback to the original cover art.
Following the film's premiere in Los Angeles last night, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist also revealed the tracklist and confirmed the release date. Alfredo 2 will have 14 tracks, including new collaborations with Larry June, JID, and Anderson .Paak. The album is scheduled to arrive on July 25.
