Megan Thee Stallion's Foundation Raises Over $1.2 Million At Inaugural Gala

Megan Thee Stallion rallied up a gang of celebrities and other special guests to help raise over $1 million at her foundation's first-ever gala.

The Houston Hottie and her new boo, Klay Thompson, made their red carpet debut on Wednesday night, July 16, outside of the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala at Gotham Hall in New York City. Meg hosted the event that drew numerous artists, actors and others like Angie Martinez, Lil Uzi Vert, Muni Long, Mysonne, Fat Joe, Taraji P. Henson, DJ D-Nice, Tamika Mallory and more.

"I feel like if you talk about it, you gotta be about it," Meg told VIBE about her philanthropic efforts

"I've been a person who been in a predicament before where I needed some help and I really had wished that someone could help me out, so when I got the opportunity to be blessed I wanted to bless others," she added.

At the Gala, the Pete & Thomas Foundation honored Bread of Life Inc. founder Pastors Juanita and Rudy Rasmus, Southern Black Girls & Women’s Consortium founder LaTosha Brown, and MH Boxes founder Mila Henry for the blessings they've provided through their philanthropic ventures. During an auction hosted by Harry Santa-Olalla, Klay Thompson threw down $50,000 for two tickets to Super Bowl LX while Lil Uzi Vert coughed up $30,000 for an Eliantte bracelet. Fat Joe also contributed $26,000 for a special dinner for 10 guests at Melba’s Restaurant.

By the end of the night, Meg's foundation — which was named after her late parents, Holly Thomas and Joseph Pete, III — raised over $1.2 million in funding. The money will go toward the non-profit organization's mission to women, children, senior citizens, and other communities.
