Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath performed for the last time ever on July 5 in their hometown of Birmingham. The all-day event, billed as "Back to the Beginning," was available for fans around the world via livestream. More than 5 million people tuned in, raising an incredible amount for charity, but those who missed it will have another chance to watch the historic concert.
On Friday (July 18), it was announced that the day will be condensed into a 100-minute-long concert film titled Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow.
“Presented as a love letter to Ozzy and the pioneering sound of Black Sabbath, the theatrical release will be a distilled version of the epic all-day event held at Villa Park,” reads a press release about the project. “Featuring thunderous performances of ‘War Pigs,’ ‘Iron Man,’ ‘Children of the Grave’ and a show-stopping ‘Paranoid,’ the film promises a deeply personal and electrifying farewell from the godfather of heavy metal with exclusive behind-the-scenes access and interviews from this iconic live performance.”
In addition to the emotional final sets, Slipknot's Sid Wilson proposed to Ozzy's daughter Kelly Osbourne and Ozzy met Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose for the first time.
Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow is set to premiere in theaters in early 2026.
