No, Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges haven’t said “I do” yet.
Hodges, 29, reacted to rumors circulating on social media that he and Wilson got married. The false claim has apparently spread with AI-generated photos that depict the couple’s wedding day. Hodges said in a clip he shared on Instagram on Sunday (July 20), “if you’re gonna put out stuff about us, I mean, at least make us look good. We look like sh*t,” in the Artificial Intelligence images.
“Attention at those who make AI photos regarding our wedding, marriage and whatever other BS that comes out,” Hodges wrote in his Instagram caption when he posted the video. “Sincerely, The couple who hasn’t had a wedding or kids yet.”
Hodges proposed to Wilson, 33, earlier this year at late legend George Jones’ estate in Franklin, Tennessee, outside of Nashville. The two-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year — who recently celebrated the opening of her exhibit in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum — referenced her romantic ballad, “4x4xU,” when she posted the engagement photos on Instagram on February 12. Wilson later shared the story behind the proposal and the ring, and said “it could not have been more perfect.” The couple began dating in 2021, and made their red carpet debut at the 58th ACM Awards in May 2023, at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
“He makes it real easy to write love songs. I can’t believe I’m saying that,” Wilson said earlier this year. “He’s a good person.”
