'The Cosby Show' Star Malcolm-Jamal Warner Dead At 54

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who starred as Theodore Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died, according to TMZ. He was 54.
Warner died as a result of an accidental drowning, sources told the outlet. According to PEOPLE, Warner was on vacation with his family in Costa Rica when the drowning occurred. Warner's family or representatives haven't confirmed the circumstances surrounding his death.
Warner rose to prominence with his role on The Cosby Show, which earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1986. The actor continued his run in Hollywood, starring in Malcolm & Eddie, Reed Between the Lines, The Resident, and 9-1-1. Warner also snagged a Grammy in 2015 for Best Traditional R&B Performance alongside the Robert Glasper Experiment and Lalah Hathaway for their song “Jesus Children.” In 2022, Warner earned another Grammy nomination for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album with Hiding in Plain View.
Most recently, Warner hosted the "Not All Hood" podcast, with the latest episode dropping days before his death.
Warner leaves behind his wife and daughter.
