It's another royal birthday!
Prince George, the oldest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, turned 12 years old on Tuesday (July 22), and as is tradition with the royal family, he was honored with a new portrait and birthday shoutout on social media. The photo, taken by photographer Josh Shinner, put on display George's striking resemblance to his dad as the young royal leaned against a fence post, smiling and wearing a brown vest overtop a button-down shirt.
"Happy 12th Birthday to Prince George! 🎂" they captioned the pic.
In addition to the photo, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a video montage on their official Instagram account of the young royal having fun with his siblings, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
According to People, the video appears to have been taken during the same photoshoot that captured Louis' own birthday portrait shared in April. As well as capturing moments of George looking all grown up, the video also showcases the royal trio posing together and playing around like your average siblings. In one shot, George and Charlotte laugh as they lifted up their younger brother while another clip saw them holding hands as they walked in the grass.
While the video shows the young royals getting along, like any set of siblings, they still know how to get on each other's nerves. In May, Louis was even seen hilariously trolling his big brother during an official royal event.
