ROCKIES V CARDINALS AT 12:30 At least you can see Nolan Arenado at Coors Field again.
NO BRIDGE FOR YOU If you want to know why I think Jared Polis can still be President, check out this spin on the disastrous survey about his vanity project at the Capitol.
Coloradans who took part in our online survey have voted not to proceed with the Colorado 150 Pedestrian Walkway to celebrate our 150th anniversary as a state. Thank you to everyone who shared their opinions and voted. I will commit my time and effort to prevent this walkway from… pic.twitter.com/V6eIybobr9

He's going to FIGHT to prevent the bridge apparently only HE wanted. Well done, Governor, I hope you don't get dizzy from that spin.
IS WEISER PICKING A FIGHT HE CAN'T WIN? Attorney General Phil Weiser has launched an investigation into whether law enforcement officials in Mesa County coordinated with ICE after a traffic stop involving a woman from Brazil who is seeking asylum after being brought here as a child. He wants to know if the officer was in violation of Colorado law that prohibits such coordination. I'd love to see this play out the point where our laws banning such work with the feds is tested against the supremacy clause. Just to see. I'm not sure we'd win.
CALIFORNIA ENDS MEDICAID FOR ILLEGALS And since we know our Legislature only looks to California for lessons on how to govern will we do the same? I think our idiotic leadership is too wedded the virtue signal to just walk away now, but when the federal gravy train is under attack they have to do something. It's not just California, Minnesota and Illinois ended their programs too.
A SCAMMING PASTOR AND HIS WIFE ARE INDICTED After they cooked up a crypto scam wrapped in faith and sold it to unwitting investors who lost all their money. Even people who purport to be Christians can be scumbags. As far as investing in crypto with anyone, if you don't understand it, don't invest in it.
TINA PETERS WON'T BE RELEASED ANYTIME SOON Even after her attorneys filed an appeal in federal court to get her released pending the disposal of her appeal in the Colorado Appeals Court. Good for the judge for making sure that he is not overstepping his bounds here, as the Supreme Court has already held that Federal Judges can't interfere in state court matters. You can read it here, but this judge is getting his ducks in a row before firing.
MONTEZUMA-CORTEZ SCHOOLS CLEARS UP SOME LANGUAGE Around gender identity and racial preferences. Good. Read it here.
DENVER CARES MORE ABOUT ILLEGALS THAN STOLEN CARS And Joshua Sharf writes a great column here from the perspective of a victim (himself) that clearly expresses the idiocy that Denver is engaged in. Luckily for him, the guy who stole his car drove it to Aurora, where they care about car theft again.

BRAIN DAMAGE COULD LEAD TO CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR And this isn't super surprising because the part of the brain that seems to create problems if it's damaged is the part that is responsible for impulse control. Read it here.
A NEW DATING APP CREATES QUITE THE PICKLE...BALL A new dating app designed for pickleball fanatics who want to meet other lovers of the sport is out. It's called PickleMatch.
CAFFEINE MAY PREVENT YOUR ANTIBIOTIC FROM WORKING But it's not just caffeine. Researchers are beginning to ask what substances can affect certain antibiotics, especially when it comes to the creation of antibiotic resistant bugs. From the study:
"Caffeine triggers a cascade of events starting with the gene regulator Rob and culminating in the change of several transport proteins in E. coli—which in turn leads to a reduced uptake of antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin," explains Ana Rita Brochado. This results in caffeine weakening the effect of this antibiotic. The researchers describe this phenomenon as an "antagonistic interaction."
Read the rest here but this is just the beginning of such research so in the future, we may have a "Do NOT consume caffeine" warning label to contend with.
A PARKINSON'S TEST MAY INVOLVE A DOG As dog's are being successfully trained to sniff out whether or not someone has Parkinson's disease. Apparently those with Parkinson's have a very particular smell, and certain dogs can be trained to sniff it. How did doctors figure this out:
The knowledge that Parkinson's distinctly changes a person's body odor first came to light roughly a decade ago – all because of one woman. Twelve years before her husband's diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, Joy Milne could sense something was off – specifically, she could smell it.
Milne, a Scottish nurse, is known as a 'super-smeller', and in 2016, she became famous among neuroscientists for her extraordinary abilities.
After proving that SHE could successfully smell Parkinson they are trying to train dogs to do the same, though most dogs fail the training. The big deal here is that the smell changes happen YEARS before most symptoms appear, which can lead to early diagnosis and treatment.
WHY THE BILL BEING SUPPORTED BY GABE EVANS IS A GOOD ONE Read the actual details of what's being proposed here. If you're a "Throw them all out and let them try to come back the legal way" sort, how are you going to get that through this Congress? Real question.
WE'RE GETTING OUR DEL TACOS BACK! Some are already open, others will be re opening this summer. Read it here.
SUPPORT FOR CELL PHONE BANS IN SCHOOLS IS UP With 74% of US adults saying cell phone use IN CLASS should be banned. I'm okay with a ban for the entire day.
