My Weekend: Adam Ezra Group, Sunrise, a One Man Protest and First Shuck
July 27, 2025
The picture says it all -
Valerie and I went to the Adam Ezra Group show at the Center for the Arts in Nashua - and this is how the night started! And yes, I took a pretty good size "hit" of whiskey! Haha- and by the time I went on stage to bring the band on, I was kinda wobbly!! Haha- WHAT A SHOCK!
It was another great show by the AEG - and I'd especially like to say thank you to all of the Buzz listeners who said "Hello" to Valerie and I, and had come to see Adam and the band for the first time because of us on the show talking about it! Im so happy that you enjoyed it - and now you know why we love them all so much!
It was a late night (got home after midnight) - so I slept in on Saturday (I know what you're thinking: "YOU'RE SHI**ING ME! YOU SLEPT IN INSTEAD OF GOING OUT TO TAKE PHOTOS?" - and the answer is yes! But I did do that on Sunday - more on that in a bit).
Chilled at the house, but we did meet our brew friends Gary and Lorraine at The Oar House in Portsmouth for dinner and drinks on the deck! (Sam Summer for me) It was a gorgeous night!
I also held a ONE MAN PROTEST! Well, it was a quick one - but I felt I had to do it! I had to do some grocery shopping at Market Basket and as I was going thru the check out line- I was thinking about what a friggin mess that company is. And by that- I mean it's Board of Directors firing two of their long time management team members who are staunch supporters of Artie T. Artie, as Im sure you know, became a big of a legend in the corporate / grocery world when he stood up against the board years ago - backed by every employee in the company, mind you- and WON! He stuck up for the workers and became a national news story. Anyway - the bullshit continues today - and as i was thinking about it, I checked out, and as I walked toward the door- I decided to make a statement. About 15 feet from the door - I yelled
"ARTIE T!!!!!!!!!" -really loudly while I raised my fist into the air!
That's me! STICKIN' IT TO DA MAN, BRO! haha - I figured I'd get some whoops, or "right on" or "YEAH!!!", hell- maybe even some applause! But instead - I got....
Nothing.
Crickets.
Not one person made a sound. <haha> I was deflated (a little). I thought for sure I'd get SOMETHING! But either the employees are under some kind of lockdown and can't acknowledge anything about it for fear of losing their jobs- OR - someone kidnapped all the employees who love Artie T- and replaced them with robots! Still - I spoke my piece! Told TRUTH TO POWER! And I still stand with AT, brother!
Sunday morning I had an excellent shoot up in Ogunquit. It was a last minute location choice, and I knew there wasn't going to be much of a surf, so I opted for Perkins Cove.
And it was a good choice-
The sky exploded in orange and everything took on that hue. In addition- the tide was slack so the water was like glass, and the reflections off it only enhanced the scenes. Really nice morning!
Then on the way home, I witnessed a family breakfast-
Beautiful deer. Always cool seeing wildlife.
And lastly - I celebrated FIRST SHUCK!
So please go out and support your local farms- they can't survive without us!
Hope y'all had a good weekend!
