Gwyneth Paltrow dated Brad Pitt a few years before he married Jennifer Aniston in 2000.
Author Amy Odell recently published a biography about the Goop founder titled, Gwyneth, in which she details how the actress really felt about Pitt and Aniston's union.
In the biography, Odell noted that, not long after the Hollywood "It" couple said "I do," a Toronto Star reporter asked Paltrow how she felt about the marriage.
"Are you really asking me this question? I can't comment on this kind of thing," the Iron Man star explained at the time.
However, the new account revealed that, behind the scenes, Paltrow was very torn up about the marriage, and told her friends that the World War Z actor had "terrible taste in women."
The same year the wedding took place, the Goop founder told Vanity Fair that, despite forging a friendship with Pitt, their breakup "changed my life" forever.
"It really changed my life. When we split up, something changed, permanently, in me. My heart sort of broke that day, and it will never be the same. I think you have to keep yourself intact in order to have a healthy relationship, and I didn’t. I loved every second of it, but it wasn’t healthy. But I wouldn’t change anything. Even the things I hate most about myself for what happened—the darkest moment of it—I wouldn’t change. Because it’s made me what I am."
According to E!News, Paltrow made additional comments over the years explaining that it was she who was not ready to enter into a serious union with Pitt and that "he was too good for me."
