The New York State Fair has finalized its 2025 concert lineup, featuring the pop trio AJR. The group will perform at the Suburban Park stage on Thursday, August 21, at 8 p.m. AJR, known for hits like "World's Smallest Violin," "Weak," and "100 Bad Days," replaces the Steve Miller Band, which canceled its tour due to climate-related risks. According to Syracuse.com, the band cited extreme weather conditions as the reason for the cancellation.

AJR's energetic performances and catchy tunes have made them a favorite among fans worldwide. Their appearance at the fair is expected to draw large crowds, as they did in 2021 when they attracted over 36,000 attendees. The New York State Fair, running from August 20 to September 1, will host 41 national acts as part of the Chevrolet Music Series. All concerts are free with fair admission, which costs $8 for adults, while children under 12 and seniors over 65 enter for free.

The fair will also feature performances by other notable acts, including Cheap Trick, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, and a Lady Gaga Tribute show. Fair Director Julie LaFave expressed excitement about AJR's addition, highlighting their vibrant energy and engaging live shows.
