French Montana is entering a new era of his career by launching a new web series featuring a cast of all-star artists.
On Wednesday, July 30, the Moroccan-American rapper debuted his brand-new series "Coke Smack Vol. 1" featuring Lil Durk. French reunited with Smack DVD to curate a new series inspired by his 2000s show "Cocaine City." The official trailer for the series also features appearances by Meek Mill, Trippie Redd, Dave East, Kyle Richh, BossMan Dlow and more. The inaugural episode contains footage of French and Durk making their recent single "Big Bag" in the studio with other guests like OTF's Doodie Lo.
"The culture gods return‼️" French wrote in his caption. "Cocaine City x SMACK DVD bridge the gap for a new generation. The next era of hip-hop starts now!"
French Montana spoke about his early ventures with Smack DVD and "Cocaine City" during his recent interview on The Breakfast Club. While he was coming up in the Bronx, French linked up with and interviewed multiple rappers and other public figures until his music career took off. "Coke Smack" will follow the same blueprint with "real stories, raw talent, and the unfiltered essence of the culture."
French's new series comes a year after he dropped his popular mixtape Mac & Cheese 5. The massive project comes with 22 songs featuring contributions from Ye, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Westside Gunn, Buju Banton, 41, Jeremih, Lil Baby and more.
