Two men have been arrested in connection with a manhunt for Austin Drummond, a suspect accused of killing four people in Tennessee. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced on Saturday (August 2) that Tanaka Brown and Giovonte Thomas, both 29, were apprehended for allegedly assisting Drummond. Drummond faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and weapons charges for the deaths of James “Matthew” Wilson, Adrianna Williams, Cortney Rose, and Braydon Williams in Lake County on July 29.
The victims were related to an infant who was found abandoned in Tennessee. Brown is being held without bond in Lake County Jail, while Thomas, initially detained in Madison County Jail for an unrelated charge, is being transferred to Lake County for arraignment on new charges. Both are charged with being accessories after the fact to first-degree murder, and Brown faces an additional charge of tampering with evidence.
Drummond remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. He was out on bond at the time of the murders, having been released from the Tennessee Department of Corrections in September 2024 after serving a 10-year sentence for aggravated robbery. While in prison, he faced additional charges, including attempted murder. A reward of $17,500 is being offered for information leading to Drummond's arrest.
