Ashley McBryde will perform a run of shows to mark the opening of her “first-of-its-kind” bar in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Grammy-winning artist announced her Redemption Residency on Monday morning (August 4), just a few days after unveiling the first details about her soon-to-open bar in Music City. McBryde’s residency will offer “one-of-a-kind show experiences, with McBryde curating set lists, themes, and moments that could only happen here,” reads a press release issued Monday.
“The guys and I are so happy to be back in Nashville for four nights of ‘you had to be there’ moments to help close out this year” McBryde said in a statement. “We’ve been making our kind of church wherever we go for years; from dive bars to back porches, Dahlonega to Lindeville. It’s something special to bring it all to the only Steeple on Lower Broadway.”
McBryde announced on Friday (August 1) that she’s opening Redemption on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s six-story bar and entertainment venue, Chiefs, located at 200 Broadway. Redemption will offer a stage for rising singer-songwriters and feature zero-proof cocktails, “inspired by McBryde’s personal path to sobriety and designed as a welcoming space that honors authenticity, connection, and original songwriting,” per a press release issued Friday. McBryde explained that her soon-to-debut bar will normalize non-alcoholic beverages; however, some alcoholic drinks will also be available “because everyone is welcome.” She hailed Redemption “a great place to start a conversation. A spot with incredible drinks of all kinds that are as well crafted and thought out as the songs you’re hearing from the vagabonds, drifters, and dreamers that make this music city, Music City.”
Redemption will open on August 28. McBryde will perform her residency beginning October 14. Tickets will be available to the general public beginning Friday (August 8).
