Brevard County Murder Suspect Says He Was Inspired By God

(Melbourne, FL) --A Texas man claims God told him to kill his grandparents in Brevard County. That's according to new court documents from the case of Jeremyah Campbell. He shot his grandparents to death last week n Melbourne. Police say he told officers God told him to send his grandparents to Him. Campbell is charged with two counts of second-degree murder.   

Teen Injured In Volusia County Attack

(DeBary, FL) --A teenager is hurt after he was attacked in Volusia County. The sheriff's office says the 17-year-old was pistol-whipped last night in DeBary. Deputies say he was at a park at Lazio Circle and Kalin Street when a man approached and hit him in the head with a gun. News 6 reports the teen was cut on the head. No arrest has been announced, and there's no word on a motive.

Orlando Woman Arrested For Practicing Medicine Without A License

(Orlando, FL) --An Orlando woman is accused of practicing medicine without a license. Gabriela Pereira was arrested last week for an incident last year. Police say she used Endolaser treatment at Tonya Beauty Medical Spa on Park Center Drive and wound up burning the woman's chin. Pereira is charged with 20 felonies.   

Comic Con Held In Tampa

(Tampa, FL) --Comic Con is coming off one of its best years yet. That's what Tampa Bay Comic Convention Marketing Director Chelsie Stoker said yesterday. She spoke on the final day of the three-day event. About 50-thousand people attended with some dressed as their favorite superhero or sci-fi character.

Lake Mary Little League Advances To Regional Final

(Warner Robins, GA) -- A Little League baseball team from Seminole County has a chance to return to Williamsport. The Lake Mary Little Leaguers beat a South Carolina team, 14-nothing, yesterday in Georgia. Lake Mary will play tomorrow with a chance to advance to the Little League World Series. Lake Mary won the World Series last year. Meanwhile, the Lake Mary softball team won its first game in the Little League Softball World Series yesterday. They beat Mill Creek, Washington, 9-2. Lake Mary will play Oklahoma today at 1:00 on ESPN-Plus. 

Child Helps Capture Home Intruder In Tennessee Soybean Field

(Bells, TN) --A 12-year-old Tennessee girl helped stop a suspected burglar after chasing him through a soybean field and tackling him. Authorities say Robert Sills tried breaking into a home in the City of Bells and fled when the residents spotted him. The girl chased him down, and with help from a passing driver and a local farmer, they restrained him until deputies arrived. Sills is now facing multiple charges, including aggravated attempted burglary and had an outstanding warrant. The sheriff praised the girl's bravery and the community's response.
