Oasis is speaking out after a fan tragically died at a recent concert in London.
Fans of the legendary band gathered at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (August 2) to watch a reunited Oasis, including brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, perform during the first leg of the group's sold-out shows at the venue as part of the Oasis Live '25 Tour. However, things took a turn when one member of the crowd reportedly died at the venue, per People.
Medics and local police responded to reports that a man in his 40s had been injured shortly after 10 p.m. who "was found with injuries consistent with a fall." The man, who allegedly fell from the upper tier of the stadium, was pronounced dead at the scene, E! news reports.
Following news of the fan's death, Oasis shared their shock in a statement.
"We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night," the band said. "Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved."
Wembley Stadium echoed the sentiment in its own message obtained by the BBC, stating, "Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers."
In the hopes of learning more about the tragedy, police are urging concertgoers who attended Saturday's show to look through their concert footage and share any information they may find about the incident as they "may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage."
