Houston Deputy Under Fire After Controversial TikTok Post

A female deputy in Houston, Texas, is now under investigation after posting a video on TikTok that some people found highly inappropriate and unprofessional.

The video shows Deputy Jennifer Escalera sitting in her squad car, visibly wearing her uniform with her nameplate showing. In the video, she is seen writing on a notepad with the caption that reads, “Didn’t get cracked last night so everyone is getting a ticket.”

Viewers took that caption to mean that the deputy did not have sex the night before and was in a bad mood, suggesting she might take it out on random drivers by giving out tickets unfairly.

The video was quickly deleted, but not before it went viral and was seen by officials at her department. According to TMZ, Escalera is currently under investigation, though she is still on active duty.
