Legendary musician and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty will be honored with the 2025 BMI Troubadour Award for his significant influence on American music. The award ceremony will be held on September 8th at BMI's Nashville headquarters, celebrating Fogerty's illustrious career with special tribute performances.

Fogerty, known for hits like "Proud Mary" and "Fortunate Son," has been a pivotal figure in shaping the American musical landscape. His work with Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) blended various genres, creating a unique sound that continues to resonate worldwide.

BMI Vice President Clay Bradley shared of the icon, "John Fogerty has written and recorded some of the most distinctive and beloved rock songs of the 20th century."

Fogerty's achievements include multiple awards and honors, such as induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is also the only musician honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame for his song "Centerfield." Since affiliating with BMI in 2005, Fogerty has received numerous accolades, including the BMI Icon award in 2010 and the BMI Board of Directors Award in 2023.

In addition to his past achievements, Fogerty will release a new album, Legacy, on August 22, featuring newly recorded versions of his biggest hits. This album marks a significant milestone as he now fully owns the rights to his CCR catalog.

The BMI Troubadour Awards, described as "Nashville's most glorious low-key party," will feature tribute performances and speeches from special guests. The event, held on the eve of AMERICANAFEST, will serve as a gathering for BMI's Americana family of songwriters.

Just a few weeks later, Fogerty will be hitting the stage at this year's iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. Fans can tune in to the annual two-day mega music event as the festival will be broadcast live each night via iHeartMedia radio stations throughout the country across more than 150 markets. Hulu will be the Official Streaming Destination of the festival, with performances livestreamed each night exclusively to all Hulu subscribers.
