Offset stirred up some chaos after he announced the plans for his upcoming album.
The Atlanta native dominated Times Square in New York City on Tuesday, August 5, shortly after posting the cover art for his third studio LP Kiari. In footage TMZ obtained, you can see the former Migos rapper climb on top of a black SUV and stand up to shoot a video with a group of people in front of him. Offset looked on as a crowd of fans screamed "Set It Off" and waved posters with his album cover on it.
It looks like Offset could've been shooting a music video. In other clips from the event, you can see the father of six walking around a group of people who are lying on the ground in the middle of Times Square. While he's performing a verse, the people get up and hold up the poster of Offset's new album cover.
The 33-year-old has been hyping up the album for months. He originally got fans excited for the project when he dropped his collaboration with Gunna "Style Rare" last year. Since then, he's followed up with other bangers like "Swing My Way," "Enzo," and "Bodies" featuring JID, which has blown up on the airwaves. Earlier this year, Offset continued his run with new tracks like "Ten" and his most recent song "Professional." He just dropped the music video for the latter track featuring a mob of models.
Offset's upcoming album Kiari drops August 22. Check out more scenes from his takeover in NYC and the music for "Professional" below.
