Christina Applegate Gives Heartbreaking New Health Update From Hospital Bed

Christina Applegate took herself to the hospital after experiencing "so much pain" she felt like "screaming."

The actress, who has been very open about her ongoing battle with Multiple Sclerosis over the last few years, gave her latest health update from a Los Angeles hospital bed via her "MeSsy" podcast on Tuesday (August 5).

Applegate told listeners that she recently visited family in Europe and was dealing with such an excruciating amount of pain that she decided to go straight to the hospital when her flight landed, and stay there until she received answers regarding her condition.

"I’m staying here because I want answers. I want every test that you can possibly think of, or ones that you haven’t even thought of, and I want them done. So much pain. I’m screaming, and they ordered me an emergency CT at 2 in the morning."

The Married... With Children star told medical officials that it felt like her appendix was about to burst, and it turned out to be a kidney infection that had spread to her other kidney.

"I’m just gonna be here. Because of this kidney infection, I have to have intravenous antibiotics right now. And that’s where we’re at."

This is not the first time Applegate has undergone a handful of tests at the hospital. In March, she revealed that she's been to the hospital upwards of 30 times and has received "every test known to man" since being diagnosed with MS in 2021.
